CPD Made Easy

Following the success of last year’s conference this carefully structured one day training conference will provide dentists, DCPs and their administrative teams with 7 hours of CPD recommended by the GDC. We will be making only a nominal charge to cover basic costs.

We have designed the day’s content to be enjoyable, informative and of real value to the entire dental team – surgeons, hygienists, nurses and administrators – and, during the conference, you will hear presentations from some of the leading experts in UK dentistry.

We provide refreshments and lunch for all attendees, and the hotel offers ample free parking.

Graeme Hallows

Graeme Hallows is a Resuscitation Officer with A to E Training and Solutions, a specialist company providing Resuscitation Services to clients across the UK.

Having Studied Nursing at Kings College London, Graeme started his career working at Guys Hospital in 2008, within Renal Services. Being a member of the Army Reserve, an opportunity arose in 2009 to deploy as part of the UK Joint Forces Med Group, Hospital Squadron working in the Role 3 Medical Facility in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. On returning to the UK, he took a Job at Kings College Hospital working in the Emergency Department. While there he spent time working with the research team before progressing to be a Charge Nurse. With an interest in pre- hospital medicine Graeme has volunteered time with the London Ambulance as an Emergency Responder.

With a passion for teaching Graeme moved to A to E Training and Solutions in 2017 to work as a Resuscitation Officer where he can share his knowledge and experience with others.

Bryan Harvey

Following 25 years in General Dental Practice in 1995 I became a dento-legal adviser and in 1997 Deputy Head of the Dental Defence Union. In December 2015 I stepped down as Deputy Head and became senior dento-legal adviser 3 days a week from January 1, 2016. Whilst in GDP I worked as an associate specialist in oral surgery and for the British Dental Association. I was a VT trainer.

I am Chairman of Essex LDC and on the LDN. I work alternate Saturday mornings in general practice still to keep my “gloves” wet.

Anthony Bendkowski

Specialist in oral surgery

Anthony Bendkowski or ‘Ben’ to his team, is a specialist in oral surgery in practice limited to implant reconstructive surgery in London and the South East of England. He qualified from University College Hospital Dental School, London in 1982 and subsequently gained extensive experience in both hospital and practice-based oral surgery. He has over twenty five years of experience in both the surgical and restorative management of implant cases. He has a keen interest in all aspects of dental education and has lectured on and run bone augmentation and implant training courses, as well as lecturing on business skills for successful implant practice for a number of years. He is a Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology (UK) and an examiner for the Edinburgh Diploma in Implant Dentistry as well as for Membership in Oral Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Clinically Ben undertakes all aspects of implant treatment, including Teeth in a Day/All on 4 surgery, aesthetic anterior tooth replacement, and complex cases involving extensive bone reconstruction.

In his spare time he is a keen pilot and can regularly be seen flying his vintage WW II aircraft in airshows. Ben also enjoys playing guitar badly with local band, ‘Leaky Tap’.

Fahd Saleh

BDS, MFGDP RCSEng, MJDF RCSEng, DipConSed, DipMan, DipResD RCSEng, MClinDent, MPerio RCSEd 

Specialist in Periodontics

Dr Saleh qualified in 2003 from University of Glasgow. He later undertook various hospital posts and degrees at the Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Leicester, as well as, the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Through these degrees, Dr Saleh developed interests in restorative dentistry, oral surgery and sedation for anxious dental patients. He was recognised as a dentist with special interest in conscious sedation in 2007 and became a clinical lead for a multi-centre sedation referral network based in Lancashire, before joining the team at The Implant Experts.

Dr Saleh is also currently a registrar in periodontology at Guys Hospital and Kings College London, where he is working on several research interests, such as predicting gum disease, for which he was recently awarded the Odontology President’s Clinical Research Prize by the Royal Society of Medicine. Dr Saleh actively participates in mentoring and training UK and international young dental students, newly qualified dentists and general practitioners in the management of gum disease and has given several national lectures on the topic.

When Fahd is away from patients, he enjoys experimental fusion cooking which has earned him a few friends but also lost him a few! Fahd also enjoys kayaking and windsurfing.

Sandra Smith BSc (Hons), RDN

Sandra has worked in general dental practice and within the community dental service.  Sandra has a Degree in Health Protection and Infection Control. Sandra was employed as Dental Infection Control Advisor for three PCTs between 2005 to 2015, providing infection control advice, support and training to 140 dental practices in South London. Sandra has worked as a CQC Inspector and is now Director of Infection Control Specialists.
